Our latest addition to the Note-Records roster is Damon Sawyer. Born in Berkshire, England in 1971, He is a Drummer, Recording Engineer, and Producer, running his own studio in Wokingham, Berks.

His early drumming influences were the masters of the eighties, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta and a course Steve Gadd. However it was when he incorporated the rawness of the blues into his playing while gigging and recording with The Sonny Black Band, Dave Spector (Delmar Records), Bill Wymans Rhythm Kings and being first call dep. for the esteemed Jazz / Blues trio The Barcodes, now Damon has arrived as the full package.

Struttin’ South is no nonsense straight ahead, fresh and new big band Jazz Fusion album, of mostly original material performed by some of Europe’s finest musicians. Struttin’ South reflects, Damon’s fore-mentioned musical influences. We at Note, hope that you will give it a listen, you will not be disappointed… It’s a new listening experience.
